Bocah Super
This is my commision for GAMESEED 2025, im a solo dev from jakarta, indonesia.

You probably notice from the game that im not really good with art 😅, but im quite confident with my coding skill 😎, so here is the prototype of my game.
Tbh i already thinking about making a platformer, so when i heard the theme is "Old But New", what immediately came to mind was "Megaman".
But there is a little twist, remember when Megaman beat a boss and get new gear? In this game you can get new gear from every enemy, and its all unique. so it will be exciting everytime you discover new enemy. this mechanic actually inspired from another old game which is "Brave Fencer Musashi". 🤓
I understand its still lack a lot of thing, and maybe still have a lot of bugs, im sorry for that, but i really tried my best in this 10 days while also learning how to use Godot 😔, i actually even abandoned my corporate works (please dont let my boss see this 😬).
So im really interested to hear what do you think, please let me know.

this was actually already a solid platformer with the cool concept of absorbing and gaining the enemy’s power (i wonder if you could have the Bocah Super more than 1 power applied but maybe to avoid being OP, if you’re hit a few certain number of times by an enemy or within time duration, one of the powers disappear! just a thought idea from me). the use of sound effects were utilized satisfyingly matched the actions, i enjoyed the fully charged attack, the jumping and bouncy climbing the most haha.
anyway, i’ll be looking forward to the more upgraded version of this prototype, keep it up bro. 🔥

For the power, actually i dont think about giving it limit, my first idea is to make some power needed to pass some obstacle, so you cant keep 1 power only in one stage, but i start to consider maybe it is supposed to be have limit 🤔
I also never thought about having more than 1 power, but after reading your comment, i start to have an idea, how about you can combine some power 😮
